Donetsk, Jan. 30 – DAN. DPR authorities consider the OSCE SMM activity aimed at recording ceasefire violations insufficient and urge the organization to stop Kiev's shelling by all means, said DPR envoy to Minsk negotiations Denis Pushilin.
"We consider the OSCE SMM activity insufficient. To ease the tensions and to settle the conflict it is necessary to clearly identify the violator of the ceasefire, to record the caliber of the arms used in shelling and the type of arms used. We urge the OSCE and the JCCC to do anything possible to make ceasefire manifest itself into reality, not just into empty rhetoric."
Pushilin said that DPR records every strike carried out by Kiev forces and collects data on damages and casualties to bring the issue up at the next meeting of the Contact Group in Minsk scheduled for February 1.
"All this brings us back to the active phase of war in 2015, by shelling and provocations Ukraine does everything to resuscitate a full-scale fighting."
The situation along the contact line has deteriorated dramatically in the past two days. Ukrainian forces carried out intense shelling of Donetsk, Makeyevka, Gorlovka, Yasinovataya residential quarters and southern villages. One civilian was killed, another four injured, several houses were damaged, a number of townships are without power. *ot
