Donetsk, Dec 5 - DAN. Donetsk People’s Republic authorities are ready to provide comprehensive assistance in implementing the International Committee of the Red Cross plan to pay pensions to Donbass low mobility residents, DPR Labour and Social Policy Minister Larisa Tolstykina said on Wednesday.

“I believe that the possibility that Ukraine would agree to the ICRC pension-paying plan for the low mobility groups is very small,” Tolstykina said. However, if it does, our Ministry will make all efforts towards its successful implementation.”

The Contact Group economic subgroup meeting in Minsk on Tuesday showed again that Kiev was blocking any compromise solutions of this issue, she added.

“Ukraine is not seeking a favourable outcome or a compromise. Both the DPR and international organisations repeatedly offered the Ukrainian authorities various options to resolve the issue. Kiev blocks or criticises all proposals or rejects them altogether,” Tolstykina said.

Reports on Tuesday said that ICRC personnel at the Minsk talks had prepared a plan to pay Ukrainian pensions to Donbass residents with various disabilities.

The package of Measures for the Implementation of the Minsk Agreements was signed on February 12, 2015. Article 8 of the document envisioned the definition of modalities of full resumption of socio-economic ties, including social transfers,   such pension payments by Ukraine.*jk
