Donetsk, Apr 11 – DAN. DPR leadership has sent a note to the OSCE demanding it to provide for a transparent investigation into Donetsk April 11 shelling, said DPR envoy to the negotiations Denis Pushilin.
"The Ukrainian side completely ignores settlement of the conflict in peaceful and legal ways. Today's unprecedented shelling is yet another proof. In this connection, a note was issued for the SMM OSCE heads with appropriate data and a demand to provide for a transparency in reflecting the facts and consequences of an arrogant violation of ceasefire and for prosecuting the perpetrators," his statement reads.
Kiev forces have carried out mortar and artillery strikes on Donetsk northern and western outskirts this morning, while expending almost 600 rounds in the past 24 hours, including 152mm artillery rounds. Seven civilians sustained wounds, nearly 40 buildings have been reported damaged.
Pushilin said the DPR considers Donetsk shelling as deliberate violation of Easter ceasefire by Kiev forces.
The Easter ceasefire initiated by the DPR Head Alexander Zakharchenko was supported by the Contact Group members and came into force at midnight March 30. The Ukrainian side violated it at 9.35 a.m. by targeting Kominternovo with mortar rounds.*ot
