Kirovskoye, Jul 28 - DAN. Donetsk hopes for headway at the Minsk talks following Normandy Four leaders’ negotiations and U.S. Department of State special representative for Ukraine Kurt Volker’s visit to Donbass, DPR envoy to Minsk talks Denis Pushilin told reporters on Friday.

“Perhaps, changes will occur as certain events have taken place, in the first place, there were talks and a discussion between Normandy Four leaders,” Pushilin said. “They might have set new tasks: we’ll see it when it reflects on Ukraine’s behavior. On top of that, U.S special representative Kurt Volker had the opportunity to visit Donbass.”

“Regrettably, he only visited the Ukraine-controlled part (of the region), so he has no objective picture; nevertheless, Ukraine might make some moves as we hope,” he said.

The Normandy Four leaders had a telephone conversation on 24 July 2017. On 23 July, U.S. Department of State special representative for Ukraine Kurt Volker visited Kiev-held territory of Donetsk Region.*jk
