Donetsk, Dec 2 – DAN. DPR Operations Command showed journalists an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) of Kiev armed forces, manufactured by a Western country.
"(Kiev forces) still use UAVs for photo- and video recording of vital infrastructure and fire adjustment, while we successfully down the drones. Here is an example – a downed UAV manufactured by NATO countries," DPR Operations Command deputy commander Colonel Eduard Basurin told a news briefing at the Donetsk News Agency on Friday.
Earlier such UAVs were not spotted in Donbass. Over the week, 11 Ukrainian drones were recorded operating on Donetsk and Mariupol axes.
Employing combat aviation and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) in 30km-wide zone along the line of contact is banned under Article 7 of Minsk Memorandum, with the exception to OSCE SMM UAVs.
