Donetsk, Sep 28 - DAN. DPR called on OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) and Kiev representatives to the Joint Centre for Control and Co-ordination (JCCC) to bring Ukrainian forces to ceasefire along entire line of contact, a defense official said.

"We demand OSCE SMM and Ukrainian representatives to the JCCC in order to maintain a tenuous truce in Donbass to reign in their brigade commanders who carry things too far," said deputy commander of DPR Operations Command Colonel Eduard Basurin.

He reminded that the ceasefire in Donbass effective since 31 August, 2016 was agreed at the Contact Group meeting and approved by the "Normandy Four" (Germany, Russia, Ukraine and France) group of guarantors of the Minsk agreements.

Earlier Basurin stated the situation along the line of contact was deteriorating. Ukrainian armed forces shelled the terrritory of former airport terminal with heavy artillery, inhabited areas were also targeted.

OSCE SMM Principal Deputy Chief Monitor Alexander Hug is expected to arrive in Donetsk today. He is set to visit Petrovskoye where pullback of forces is to begin for the first time ever in Donbass conflict.
