Donetsk, Mar 2 — DAN. Ukraine’s public debt and publicly guaranteed debt topped $116 billion in January, said the Ukrainian Finance Ministry.
“The sum of Ukraine’s public debt and publicly guaranteed debt increased by 185.35 billion hryvnas ($5.06 billion) throughout January 2023, ” the Ministry said in a report placed on its website.
As of January 31, the debt amounted to $116.44 billion, the report said.
According to Ukrainian parliament member Yaroslav Zheleznyak, the country’s public expenditure reached a record high 226.4 billion hryvnas (approximately $6.14 billion) in February.*jk
