Donetsk, Apr 27 – DAN. DPR Prosecutor General's Office has launched a criminal case against the mayor of the Nikolayev region of Ukraine, Vitaliy Kim.

"A criminal case has been opened against the mayor of the Nikolayev region of Ukraine, Vitaliy Kim, following his calls for extremist activity involving mass media," the Office said.

On April 21, Kim called for extremist activity, speaking live on Ukraine 24 Tv channel, meaning that he incited to commit felonies - murders motivated by ethnic hatred, justifying the necessity and rightness of executions of Ukrainian advocates of Russia. 

Kim's hate speech falls under Art.325 P.2 of the DPR Criminal Code (Public Appeals for the Performance of Extremist Activity) with maximum penalty of 5 years of imprisonment. *ot
