Donetsk, Oct 30 — DAN. Donetsk People’s Republic prosecutors have sent to a court a criminal case against a Ukrainian serviceman who had delivered small arms fire at two cars carrying Mariupol residents.

“Dmitry Shalar, 22, from Ukraine’s 36th Marine Brigade is charged with hate murder of several people and cruel treatment of civilians in occupied territory, ” said the DPR Prosecutor’s Office.

The investigator said that Shalar, together with his colleagues, opened small arms fire at a minibus in Mariupol’s Karpinsky Street in March 2022 killing four civilians.

The prosecutors sent the criminal case to the DPR Supreme Court for consideration on the merits.

Earlier reports said that “Azov” nationalistic group gunman Yevgeny Savelyev had been sentenced to 25 years for killing a civilian in Mariupol in the spring of 2022. *jk
