Donetsk, Oct 17 — DAN. Ten new sports grounds have been built in the Donetsk People’s Republic since the beginning of this year, DPR Acting Minister of Youth, Sports and Tourism Yury Martynov told the Donetsk News Agency.
“Thirteen sport facilities have been restored over this period, including the Sadko Sport Complex for volleyball and swimming pools in Mariupol and Torez,” Martynov said.
The Donetsk News Agency earlier reported that under the DPR socio-economic development program, 21 sport centers and 12 outdoor sport and recreation facilities would be built in the Republic by the end of 2025.
Ukrainian artillery fire has damaged more than 70 sport facilities in the DPR since February 2022.*jk
