Donetsk, Jun 30 — DAN. The Russian Sport Ministry will draw a plan for the development of the Shakhtyor Donetsk football club and its participation in tournaments under the aegis of the Russian Football Union.
On Friday, representatives of Russian ministries and Federal Agency for Ethnic Affairs met to review the implementation of presidential orders to develop the new territories.
Sport Ministry officials said that measures had been prepared to integrate the Donetsk and Lugansk physical culture colleges in the Russian Olympic Reserve training system. They also presented a detailed report on renovation of the Ilyichevets sport center in Mariupol. Repairs are ongoing on other sport facilities in the new territories with the assistance of Russian sponsor regions.
In the course of the meeting, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenbko ordered the Sport Ministry to come up with the Shakhtyor Donetsk FC development plan and ensure its participation in Russian tournaments under the aegis of the Russian Football Union.
Earlier reports said that teams from the Donetsk People’s Republic would take part in the Commonwealth League football tournament in August — November 2023.*jk
