Donetsk, Jul 7 — DAN. The Beloyarsk intake facility which supplies water to Amvrosiyevka in the east of the Donetsk People’s Republic has resumed operation after 11 months of idling, said district administration head Igor Lyzov.
“The water intake has been launched; water has been sanitized, ” Lyzov told the Donetsk News Agency. “Even in crisis, it will meet 100 percent of the town’s water needs.”
Ukrainian artillery put it out of order last year, he added.
Russian sponsors from the Amur region helped carry out the repairs. Water supply problems for residents of apartment buildings and gardeners worsened in the beginning of the summer.
The main power cables and 400mm water pipe were damaged in the artillery attack on the Beloyarsk water intake in August 2022.*jk
