Donetsk, Feb 7 - DAN. Specialists of Voda Donbassa state-owned water supply enterprise on Wednesday completed basic repairs to the Yuzhnodonbasskiy Water Duct transformer outside Yasinovataya which had been damaged by Ukrainian forces fire.

“Today, we completed basic repairs to the transformer; we’ve stopped the holes and used up some 15 oil barrels; pre-launch measures are underway,” a Voda Donbassa representative said.

The company will test the transformer on 8 February before putting it into operation.

On 26 January, Ukrainian military opened fire at the 1st level pumping station of Yuzhnodonbasskiy Water Duct damaging a transformer which leaked 2.5 tons of oil. The incident had no serious impact on the station’s operation as it promptly switched to the backup power source. *jk
