Donetsk, Dec 5 - DAN. A garbage truck driver was wounded as Ukrainian forces shelled Trudovskiye neighbourhood in western Donetsk’s Petrovskiy district on Tuesday morning, DPR representative at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) Ruslan Yakubov said.
“Today, at 10:10 a.m., Ukrainian army units opened fire at Trudovskiye neighbourhood in Donetsk’s Petrovskiy district,” Yakubov said. "As a result, a garbage truck moving along Amudaryinskaya Street caught fire; the driver was hurt.”
Petrovskiy District Hospital No 14 chief doctor Igor Rutchenko told Donetsk News Agency that the victim was in satisfactory condition. “The driver is in hospital; he is receiving the necessary medical assistance,” the doctor said.
Earlier reports said Ukrainian forces fired more than 1,500 rounds of ammunition at DPR territory over the past 24 hours. Fourteen settlements in the Republic came under fire. *jk
