Donetsk, Mar 31 — DAN. “Voda Donbass” state-run utility repair teams have begun to connect apartment buildings in the liberated Svetlodarsk to water supply lines, town administration head Maxim Kozlovsky told the Donetsk News Agency on Friday.

“They are gradually restoring the centralized water supply; dozens of apartment buildings have already been connected, ” Kozlovsky said.

The work is being carried out by personnel of the “Voda” Donbassa” state unitary enterprise. Repairs of the town gas supply network is underway as well, he said.

Svetlodarsk is located 18 kilometers north of Debaltsevo. It was founded in 1968. In April 2014, a rally in the town adopted a resolution in support of the Donetsk People’s Republic independence referendum. Ukrainian troops occupied the town in the summer of 2014. The Russian coalition liberated Svetlodars in late May 2022.  After the town came under DPR control, town residents were left without power, water and gas supply due to Kiev’s actions. Electricity supply was restored this last winter.*jk
