Donetsk, Aug 29 - DAN. Famous pianist Valentina Lisitsa will give a series of concerts and master classes in DPR tows in early September, DPR Culture Ministry press service reported on Tuesday.
“Ukrainian-born American pianist Valentina Lisitsa’s guest tour in DPR will take place on 7-13 September,” the Ministry said adding that it is the foreign pianist’s third visit to the Republic.
In addition to concerts, Lisitsa will attend a special event at the Saur-Mogila Memorial Complex marking its 50th anniversary and Donbass Liberation Day. She will conduct master classes for the Republic’s young musicians.
Residents of Kiev-controlled part of Donetsk Region are invited to concerts held under the aegis of the Donbass people reunification humanitarian programme. The schedule of concerts is available on the DPR Culture Ministry website.
Ukrainian-born American pianist Valentina Lisitsa first performed in DPR capital at the requiem concert on Day of Remembrance and Grief on 22 June 2015. In the spring of 2016, the musician took part in the Prokofiev Spring festival giving a series of concerts in Donetsk and other DPR towns. She also participated in Prokofiev stamp cancellation ceremony.*jk
