Donetsk, Jun 29 – DAN. The Ukrainian People’s Tribunal for Poroshenko’s regime war crimes against Ukrainian citizens (UPT) is to pass on the sentence to the second group of Poroshenko's regime figures, including oligarch Igor Kolomoisky, journalist Alexey Matsuka and others, the UPT chairwoman Elena Shishkina said.
"On July 3 the UPT is to announce the sentence to Igor Kolomoisky, Alexey Matsuka, Sergey Taruta, Oleg Makhnitskiy, Vitaly Yarema, Viktor Shokin, Yury Sevruk, Yury Lutsenko, Yury Artemenko, Dmitry Yarosh."
The severance of trials against the abovementioned persons was requested by the prosecutor on May 21, and ordered by the court.
All the defendants were informed of the hearings dates and time.
The Tribunal has reviewed their cases and heard the witnesses.
Earler the Tribunal has decided that the secretary of the national security and defense council of Ukraine Aleksandr Turchynov, chairman of the Verkhovnaya Rada Andrey Parubiy, prime minister Vladimir Groisman, ex-prime-minster Arseniy Yatsenyuk, minister of internal affairs Arsen Avakov, defense minister Stepan Poltorak, Ukraine’s president Petr Poroshenko, commander-in-chief of the armed forces of Ukraine Viktor Muzhenko are guilty of a bunch of crimes, including genocide, violation of laws and customs of war, aiding an act of terrorism, premediated murder, etc.
The Tribunal sentenced them to life in prison with the forfeiture of property.
The judges have examined over a thousand of court files on war crimes of the Ukrainian current political regime against the people of Donbass. The UPT divided the cases under its jurisdiction into blocks: using armed forces against civilians, tortures, blockade, formation of illegal armed groups, genocide and others. The Tribunal was established by the initiative group of Donetsk and Lugansk residents to review the cases in accordance with the Ukrainian law and international standards.*ot
