Donetsk, Dec 19 - DAN. United Donbass Foundation has made 1,204 payments to residents of DPR and Kiev-controlled territory totalling over 34 million rubles since the start of its operation, Foundation Chairman Oleg Balykin told a news conference at Donetsk News Agency on Tuesday.
“As of 18 December 2017, 1,204 payments totalling 34,825,740 roubles had been made,” Balykin said. “These include payments worth a total of 18,724,945 rubles to 637 residents of Kiev-held areas of Donetsk region.”
Over the designated period, financial aid was provided to 567 applicants from DPR to the tune of 16,100,795 rubles. Average one-time payments to Donbass residents range between 25,000 ($426) and 30,000 rubles ($511). The maximum benefits were worth 60,000 rubles ($1,023), he added.
DPR launched United Donbass Foundation on 9 March 2017 as part of the Donbass people reunification programme. The aid can be provided as payments or supply of foodstuffs, medicines etc. *jk
