Donetsk, Jul 11 - DAN. Twenty-two residents of DPR and Kiev-controlled part of Donetsk Region received United Donbass Foundation payments under the humanitarian programme, Foundation chairman Oleg Balykin told a news briefing at Donetsk News Agency on Tuesday.
“As of 11 July 2017, 22 payments totalling 457,500 roubles were made,” Balykin said. The payments followed the Foundation’s Commission fifth session on 23 June.
Eleven allocations worth 220,000 roubles were made to DPR residents and as many payments amounting to 237,500 roubles were provided to residents of Kiev-controlled part of Donbass. Overall the Commission approved 53 applications for financial aid to the tune of 1,586,950 roubles.
Reports on 8 July said the Foundation had paid 1.2 million roubles to 42 Donbass residents since the start of its operation.
DPR launched United Donbass Foundation on 9 March 2017 as part of the Donbass people reunification programmes approved by DPR and LPR heads Alexander Zakharchenko and Igor Plotnitskiy on 17 February 2017.
The programme envisions cash payments and provision of food and medications which can also be contributed by DPR residents. Nine groups are eligible for assistance, including persons in the 1st and 2nd disability categories, single parent families with children up to 18 years of age, families with three or more children up to 18 years of age, citizens aged over 65 and some other groups.*jk
