Donetsk, Jul 18 - DAN. The Commission of the United Donbass Foundation public organisation approved humanitarian programme payments to 105 Donbass residents worth three million rubles in total, Foundation chairman Oleg Balykin told a news briefing at Donetsk News Agency on Tuesday.

“Over the period of its operation, the Foundation’s Commission has approved 105 payments worth 3,056,905 rubles; the humanitarian programme for Donbass people reunification has been running for 150 days already,” Balykin said.

“Fourteen applicants received 847,500 rubles of cash payments at Donbass Post offices and welfare and government services centres, and financial aid was provided to 11 residents in purchasing pacemakers and post-surgical recovery worth 659,450 rubles,” he said. Assistance has been provided to 51 Donbass residents since the humanitarian programme was launched.

DPR launched United Donbass Foundation on 9 March 2017 as part of the Donbass people reunification programme approved by DPR and LPR heads Alexander Zakharchenko and Igor Plotnitskiy on 17 February 2017.

The programme envisions cash payments and provision of food and medications which can also be contributed by DPR residents. Nine groups are eligible for assistance, including persons in the 1st and 2nd disability categories, single parent families with children up to 18 years of age, families with three or more children up to 18 years of age, citizens aged over 65 and some other groups. *jk
