Donetsk, Apr 18 - DAN. Ukrainian nationalists and Ukrainian Insurgent Army members are not on the list of persons entitled to aid from United Donbass Foundation, its head Vadim Yengalychev said at Donetsk News Agency on Tuesday.

“Organisation of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN) and Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA) members do not qualify for the foundation’s assistance,” Yengalychev said.

Earlier on Tuesday, he said a commission had set the procedure for receiving aid and designated the recipients groups. The information is to be published on the Donbass reunification humanitarian programme centre website. Among the recipients are citizens of 65 years of age or older and WWII veterans.

OUN is a political organisation that largely operated in western Ukraine during World War II. In 1942 it established Ukrainian Insurgent Army. OUN also helped set up the Waffen SS Galicia Division. OUN-UPA members killed at least one million people in wartime, including some 200,000 Poles, according to historians. *jk
