Donetsk, Dec 8 – DAN. Ukrainian forces opened fire at Donetsk’s Kuibyshevskiy district on Wednesday night with 122mm artillery damaging 13 houses, DPR Operations Command officers told Donetsk News Agency as they were inspecting the site of shelling.

“We’ve found many fragments of 122mm rounds. Numerous craters and shrapnel show that artillery was used to shell the neighborhood,” a DPR Command representative said.

Emergency services are on the site together with personnel of the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC). DPR command told DAN that Russian officers from JCCC had begun investigation into Donbass neighborhoods shelling.

Thirteen residential houses were damaged in Khimiki, Grodnenskaya, Severodvinskaya, Arbatskaya, Druzhby and Leskhoznaya streets. The city emergency service reported multiple damage to gas distribution pipelines, according to state-owned Donbassgaz concern.

As of 9.00 a.m, 20 people and six units of equipment were engaged in gas network repairs, the emergency service said.

DPR Command reported that two civilians was injured in Kuibyshevskiy district shelling. *jk
