Donetsk, Feb 26 - DAN. Ukrainian army units violated the ceasefire 134 times over the past week, firing more than 1,000 rounds of ammunition at Donetsk People’s Republic areas, head of the DPR Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination Ruslan Yakubov said on Tuesday.

“In the period from February 18 to February 24, 134 ceasefire violations by Ukrainian armed formations were recorded,” Yakubov said. “Overall, Ukrainian army units expended 1,024 rounds of ammunition (7.17 tons or 142 boxes) firing at the DPR.”

The expended ordnance included 378 120mm and 82mm rounds, five 122mm rounds and one anti-tank guided missile, he added. One civilian was wounded and 27 houses and infrastructure facilities were damaged in shelling by Ukrainian forces.

Earlier reports on Tuesday said that Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire 19 times over the past 24 hours firing 127 rounds of ammunition at DPR frontline areas.*jk*pp
