Donetsk, Apr 24 - DAN. Ukrainian army units shelled the Sakhanka village in the southern Novoazovskiy district with heavy mortars on Tuesday morning, head of the DPR Mission to the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination Ruslan Yakubov said on Tuesday.
“Today, at 8:10 a.m., Ukrainian forces opened fire at the Sakhanka village in the south of the Republic,” Yakubov said. “A house in Oktyabrskaya Street was damaged. The strike was delivered from the Shirokino settlement direction; ten 120mm mortar rounds were fired.”
The Leninskoye village in the Novoazovskiy district and Yasinovataya were shelled with 44 mortar rounds and 12 infantry fighting vehicle cannon rounds., according to the JCCC.
Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire 25 times over the past 24 hours, firing more than 600 rounds at DPR frontline areas. Two houses in Gorlovka and in western Donetsk were damaged, local authorities said. *jk
