Donetsk, Jul 11 - DAN. Donetsk People’s Republic firefighters came under Ukrainian armed formations’ fire as they were extinguishing a blaze in Telmanovo, southern DPR, following an artillery shelling, the DPR Emergencies Ministry press service reported on Thursday.

“At 4:00, a caller told the duty officer of 59th Firefighting Department in the village of Telmanovo that a utility structure in Pervomaiskaya Street had caught fire after a strike by Ukrainian forces,” the report said. “The rescuers had nearly localised the blaze as they came under fire by Ukrainian armed formations.”

A fire engine was damaged in the strike; there were no casualties, the press service added.

Earlier reports on Thursday said that Ukrainian forces had fired 248 rounds of ammunition at DPR frontline areas over the past 24 hours. Other reports said that an elderly woman was killed as Ukrainian forces shelled Gorlovka.*jk
