Donetsk, Apr 30 - DAN. Ukrainian forces opened fire at two OSCE unmanned aerial vehicles on a search mission in southern Donbass, Donetsk People’s Republic People’s Militia spokesman Daniil Bezsonov said on Tuesday.
“In the Dzerzhinsk area on April 27, OSCE monitors launched two small range UAVs to look for a missing drone,” Bezsonov said. “Ukrainian army’s 79th Air Assault Brigade gunmen southeast of the Vodyanoye settlement fired on both drones.”
Ukrainian forces periodically foil international monitors’ missions in the region. On April 26, Ukrainian troops used radioelectronic warfare equipment to jam an OSCE UAV in the Volnovakha area. Overnight to April 19, Kiev forces jammed the GPS signal of a long-range drone which went out of control and crashed.*jk
