Donetsk, Apr 19 - DAN. Ukrainian forces fired nearly 400 rounds of ammunition at Donetsk People’s Republic frontline areas over the past 24 hours, head of the DPR Mission to the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) Ruslan Yakubov said on Thursday.

“Overall, Ukrainian army units expended 396 rounds of ammunition,” Yakubov said adding that enemy forces had targeted northern and western outskirts of Donetsk, Yasinovataya suburbs including the Spartak, Zhabichevo and Mineralnoye villages,  Dokuchayevsk and the southern Kominternovo, Dzerzhinskoye and Leninskoye villages.

The DPR recorded 20 ceasefire violations by Ukrainian army units over the past 24 hours.

The “Easter ceasefire” proposed by DPR Head Alexander Zakharchenko came into effect in Donbass on March 30. The lull on the frontline did not last long: nine and half hours later, the first violations of the truce by Kiev forces were recorded. *jk
