Donetsk, Apr 17 - DAN. Ukrainian forces delivered a massive strike at the Mayorsk crossing point and the Zaitsevo village in northern Gorlovka on Tuesday morning, acting town administration head Ivan Prikhodko told the Donetsk News Agency.
“They began to shell Zaitsevo in the morning. Fifty impacts of large calibre rounds have already been recorded. The crossing point came under fire as well,” Prikhodko said.
A direct hit caused serious damage to a house in Poletayev Street. Damage assessment is underway, no casualties were immediately reported.
The shelling is continuing, the official said.
On Monday evening, Ukrainian forces fired nearly 60 120mm and 82mm mortar rounds at northern Gorlovka from the direction of Kiev-held Zhovanka village.*jk
