Donetsk, Feb 12 - DAN. Ukrainian forces on Tuesday afternoon opened fire at the Vasilyevka pumping station outside Yasinovataya; the personnel is in a shelter, the Donetsk People’s Republic Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination reported.

“Today, at 15:05, Ukrainian armed formations opened fire at Vasilyevka and Yasinovataya with mortars, anti-aircraft guns, large calibre machine guns and small arms. The area of the Vasilyevka 1st level pumping station of the Yuzhnodonbasskiy water duct came under fire. The personnel is in the shelter,” the JCCC said.

No damage or casualties were immediately reported.

The Vasilyevka pumping station is located in the Vasilyevka settlement outside Yasinovataya. It services the Yuzhnodonbasskiy water duct supplying water to residents on both sides of the contact line. The facility repeatedly came under Ukrainian forces fire. The area was last shelled on February 7; the station personnel scrambled to move to a safe place.*jk
