Donetsk, Jul 31 - DAN. Two Donetsk People’s Republic militiamen were killed and another two were wounded as Ukrainian army units shelled the Sakhanka village, DPR Operations Command spokesman Daniil Bezsonov said on Tuesday.

“Two DPR defenders were killed and another two were wounded in Ukrainian mortar fire targeting the Sakhanka village,” Bezsonov said.

The incident occurred in the course of a humanitarian mission. The DPR servicemen were not armed at the time of shelling. Fire was adjusted by means of an unmanned aerial vehicle of foreign origin which was monitoring the area outside the zone of operation of the Republic’s air defence units, he said.

“We’re urging the international community and organisations not to overlook the facts of murders of Donbass civilians and our Republic’s servicdemen on peaceful missions,” the spokesman said.

On July 30 afternoon, Ukrainian army units delivered a strike at the Sakhanka and Leninskoye villages in the south of the Donetsk People’s Republic, expending about 15 mortar rounds.*jk
