Donetsk, Feb 2 – DAN. Two civilians were injured as Ukrainian forces shelled Donetsk’s Kievskiy district, local administration head Valentin Levchenko told Donetsk News Agency on Thursday.

“On Wednesday evening, at around 8:30 p.m., two men, aged 59 and 43, were injured in Kievskiy district. Both were rushed to hospital,” Levchenko said.

The situation along the contact line has deteriorated in the past few days. There were civilian casualties as a result of continuous shelling by Kiev forces, and damage to Donetsk housing and infrastructure was recorded.

Earlier, DPR Head Aleksandr Zakharchenko said that fighting was ongoing along 50-kilometer wide terrain. The enemy is taking heavy losses. The order to attack DPR was issued by Ukrainian President Petr Poroshenko. *jk
