Donetsk, Jan 10 - DAN. Three Voda Donbass pubic utility employees were wounded in the Yasinovataya area in shelling by Ukrainian forces, head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination Ruslan Yakubov said on Thursday.

“On January 10, Ukrainian armed formations opened fire at a service car during a snow clearing operation in the vicinity of the Yuzhnodonbasskiy water duct’s Vasilyevka first level pumping station,” Yakubov said. The strike was delivered from the Kamenka settlement, the enemy used a recoilless gun and infantry fighting vehicle cannons; three utility workers were wounded.”

Their vehicle caught fire during the shelling. The fire could not be immediately extinguished in view of a possible new attack by Kiev gunmen. The DPR representatives at the JCCC asked for security guarantees for fire-fighting and vehicle evacuation, he added.

No further details were immediately available.

The pumping station is located in the Vasilyevka settlement outside Yasinovataya. It services the Yuzhnodonbasskiy water duct supplying water to residents on both sides of the contact line. It last came under fire in November 2018.
