Donetsk, Nov 22 — DAN. Moscow region is providing assistance to complete the repairs of a Central Hospital building in the Telmanovo district in the south of the Donetsk People’s Republic, district administration head Natalia Velikodnaya told the Donetsk News Agency on Tuesday.

“We’re overhauling the Central District Hospital. Repairs are running on one building; we have yet to do the walls (frontage works — eds Donetsk News Agency), ” Velikodnaya said. “We’ll finish the repairs and make layout changes to move the main hospital building there.”

The hospital comprises three buildings; the remaining ones will be repaired with the assistance of the sponsor, the Moscow region, she added. Hospital buildings will be restored one by one so that doctors could continuing seeing patients. The hospital had regularly come under artillery fire until the frontline was pushed away.

“Pregnant women used to hide in a cellar. The hospital operated throughout the whole period of the conflict despite being a permanent target. We maintain the building using our own resources and thanks to the DPR Head administration. The COVID center we’ve had here for the past two years will be reconverted to maternity home which will service the Starobeshevo, Telmanovo and Novoazovsk districts, ” Velikodnaya said. 

Earlier reports said that Moscow specialists were drawing a master plan to develop the Telmanovo district. The plan will provide for repairs of sport infrastructure facilities and construction of a new swimming pool.*jk
