Donetsk, Sep 13 - DAN. Residents of the Staromikhailovka neighborhood in western Donetsk are suffering the fifth day without electricity, the DPR Emergency Situations Ministry reported on Monday.
A power outage occurred in the neighborhood on September 9 when it came under fire from Ukrainian armed formations. The electrical substation that powers Staromikhailovka is located in immediate proximity to the contact line, and the repair team needs firm security guaratnees.
The shelling left 1,350 customers without electricity “Ukraine has not confirmed the safety of repairs,” the DPR Emergencies Ministry said.
Earlier reports said that the Donetsk People’s Republic Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination urged the OSCE Mission to help obtain security guarantees from Ukraine for repairing the infrastructure.*jk
