Six houses damaged as Kiev forces shell western Donetsk - JCCC

Donetsk, Apr 14 - DAN. Ukrainian army units on Tuesday morning fired infantry fighting vehicle cannons at the Staromikhailovka settlement in western Donetsk damaging six houses, the Donetsk People’s Republic Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) reported.

Damage to housing was recorded at 11 and 69 Oktyabrskaya Street, 32 and 45 Chkalova Street, 38 Ivan Marchenko Street and 35 Dnepropetrovskya Street. There were no casualties, the JCCC said.

Twenty BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicle cannon rounds were fired between 7:50 and 8:25.  A JCCC team went to the scene to obtain more accurate information on the aftermath of the shelling.

Over the past 24 hours, Kiev army units opened fire 11 times at DPR frontline areas; heavy artillery was used as well.*jk
