Donetsk, May 20 – DAN. Six civilians were killed and 72 injured as a result of Kiev's attacks on the DPR during Vladimir Zelensky's presidential term, said DPR representative at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) Ruslan Yakubov.

"Ukrainian barbaric shelling claimed six civilian lives and injured 72 civilians; 180 infrastructural facilities were damaged, 49 houses destroyed while 973 damaged, 28 vehicles hit," the report reads.

Every fourth attack resulted in civilian casualties and damage.

"The situation deteriorated further in May 2020, as every second attack results in civilian casualties."

Zelensky was inaugurated on May 20, 2019 becoming Ukraine's sixth president. His electoral campaign focused on bringing peace to Donbass, nevertheless, the situation escalated as he came to power. *ot
