Donetsk, Jul 27 – DAN. Over a thousand of residential houses damaged during the war have been restored in Shakhtersk, the Ministry of Construction said.
“As of today, Shakhtersk has restored 54 multi-apartment houses, 1,003 private houses damaged by Ukrainian forces strikes,” the report reads.
According to authorities, almost 2,000 multi-apartment and private houses have been damaged in the town, 324 of them are damaged beyond repair.
Ukrainian armed forces launched an offensive on Shakhtersk four years ago, in the night July 26-27. They broke through defense in Kirovskoye and seized Stozhkovskoye and Olkhovchik. The check point outside Gornoye took the first hit. Figthing spilled onto the streets of Shakhtersk and continued till August 1. Later the frontline moved north and the road to Torez was unblocked. On August 3 Shakhtersk was liberated.*ot
