Donetsk, Jun 13 — DAN. The repairs of another seven civil infrastructure facilities have been completed in Volnovakha thanks to the sponsorship from the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area, district head Konstantin Zinchenko told the Donetsk News Agency.
“Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area governor Dmitry Artyukhov recently visited Volnovakha on the occasion of anniversary of the signing of the agreement between the town and the Russian sponsor region, ” Zinchenko said. “The music and art schools, the Labor and Welfare Department, a hospital and a vocational college — all of them (have been repaired — eds Donetsk News Agency).”
“We’ve inspected and commissioned seven facilities, ” he added.
Reports on Monday said that the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Areas had rebuilt the Volnovakha town hospital. The repairs lasted for about 11 months.
The Volnovakha district is located southwest of Donetsk. The DPR took control of its administrative center, the town of Volnovakha, on March 11, 2022. As of today, a large part of the district is liberated from Kiev troops. It is a key rail and motor transport hub on the way to Mariupol. Fighting left 85 percent of the buildings damaged including 19 hospitals, kindergartens and schools. Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area governor Dmitry Artyukhov and Volnovakha district head Konstantin Zinchenko signed the cooperation agreement in June 2022.*jk
