Donetsk, Apr 12 - DAN. A school bus carrying children came under Ukrainian forces fire in the Zaitsevo village north of Gorlovka, acting town administration head Ivan Prikhodko told the Donetsk News Agency on Thursday.
“At 14:00, a school bus came under Ukrainian forces fire in the Zaitsevo neighbourhood,” Prikhodko said.
Donetsk People’s Republic servicemen who promptly arrived at the scene evacuated the children from the engagement area.
“The servicemen pulled the children out of the bus while covering them with their bodies. Fortunately, nobody was hurt,” the official said.
The children are now safe in a shelter. The shelling of the settlement is ongoing, he added.*jk
