Donetsk, Oct 16 — DAN. The construction of new neighborhoods is underway in the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics and the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, said the press service of the Russian Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities.
“The new regions are the country’s largest construction site, ” the press service told the Donetsk News Agency adding that the Ministry is coordinating the rebuilding and socio-economic development of the new territories.
Earlier reports said that as many as 2,151 apartment houses have been restored in the DPR; repairs are ongoing on 1,500 buildings and another 42 have been built from scratch. More than 650 social infrastructure facilities have been repaired in the Republic, 13 new ones have been built, and more than 200 will be restored by the end of this year.*jk
