Donetsk, Feb 8 - DAN. Ukrainian forces on Friday afternoon fired at the Krutaya Balka township outside Yasinovataya; a Voda Donbassa company car carrying pumping station personnel came under fire, the Donetsk People’s Republic Office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination reported.

“During the Vasilyevka pumping station shift change on Friday, Ukrainian armed formations opened fire at the Voda Donbassa car as it was driving away from the facility,” the report said.

The JCCC said that fire had been delivered from the Kamenka settlement at Krutaya Balka with 82mm mortars, recoilless guns (SPG), large calibre machine guns and small arms. The car was carrying 11 people. After hearing the shots, the passengers scrambled to take cover on the roadside.

The DPR officers at the JCCC asked Ukraine for security guarantees to evacuate the workers. The pumping station personnel then were able to leave the fire zone. There were no casualties or damage.

On February 7, Ukrainian forces shelled the Yuzhnodonbasskiy water duct’s Vasilyevka pumping station area for two hours delaying the shift change.*jk
