Donetsk, May 23 – DAN. Power supply to the Donetsk water treatment plant (DFS) has been restored, the plant is to be launched today, the Emergencies Ministry press service said.
"On May 22, at 4.40 p.m. the power supply was restored, the launch is scheduled for May 23."
The plant was cut off from the grid on May 20 as the power line feeding it sustained damage. Engineers managed to begin repairs only on May 22.
The security situation in the DFS area remains unstable. Reports on Ukrainian shelling have become more frequent. After five staff members had been injured while on duty on May 17, the Contact Group suggested the area should be designated as the next disengagement of forces and hardware zone. *ot
