Donetsk, Feb 13 - DAN. DPR energy workers have increased monitoring of power supply in the Republic in current adverse weather conditions; all repairs are performed quickly, the Republic’s Coal and Energy Ministry press service said on Tuesday.

“Due to the worsening weather, Regional Power Supply Company has increased its monitoring of the electricity situation in the Donetsk People’s Republic,” the press service said. “Damage to the power grid is repaired promptly.”

Over the past 24 hours, repair teams have restored power supply to 13 social infrastructure facilities such as boiler houses, schools and hospitals, as well as to more than 5,000 customers, according to the Ministry.

The weather in DPR has worsened over the past few days with sleet precipitation, snowstorms, icing and gusts of wind up to 15 to 20 metres per second and temperatures up to - 4 degrees Celsius.*jk
