Donetsk, Jan 23 - DAN. Five villages of southern Novoazovsliy district are without power as Kiev forces shelled the area over night, said local administration head Anatoliy Yanovskiy.
"There was a shelling in the night, power is knocked out in five villages - Kominternovo, Sakhanka, Sergeyevka, Leninskoye, Zaitchenko."
He said repair teams have already been dispatched to the site.
Earlier reports said that Ukrainian forces fired 159 artillery and mortar rounds overnight, targeting Donets outskirts, Gorlovka, Yasinovataya area and DPR south.
The number of strikes was almost threefold up in the previous day to 1,428 times. The emeny fired 60 artillery rounds of 152mm and 122mm caliber; 306 mortar rounds: 97 of 120mm caliber and 209 of 82mm caliber; 860 grenade launcher rounds were fired.*ot
