Donetsk, Mar 29 – DAN. The mechanism of prisoners swap suggested by the UN should be enhanced, said DPR Ombudswoman Daria Morozova.
"Some of the points of the mechanism suggested by the UN should be specified. Point 3 – questioning all those deprived of freedom. It is important to remember that about 300 people are unaccounted for, they are legally freed by they cannot cross the line of contact. Point 5 is a step-by-step approach, timeframe should be defined."
The Ombudswoman said that the ID of those refusing to be exchanged or to cross the contact line should be verified.
During the meeting of the Contact Group on March 1 the members of the humanitarian working group decided to consult the UN reps on the swap issues.
Points 5 and 6 of the Package of Measures provide for prisoners exchange on an "all for all" basis, amnesty of those involved in the Donbass fighting. *ot
