Donetsk, Oct 3 – DAN. Over 4,000 residents of Kiev-controlled part of Donetsk Region have received medical aid in DPR hospitals under the Donbass people reunification humanitarian program this year, DPR Health Ministry said.
“As of today, 4,115 patients from Kiev-controlled territories received medical aid under the Donbass people reunification humanitarian program,” the ministry’s press service said.
Of those, 700 patients underwent therapies to fight cancer in the Bondarya or Gusak medical institutions; 385 children received aid in the Republican Children's Clinic; 26 hip joint replacements have been carried out.
On February 17 DPR and LPR Heads approved the humanitarian aid program aimed to assist people living in Kiev-controlled territories. The main objective is to provide financial aid and educational assistance to vulnerable social groups. On February 21 the program was officially presented to people, hotlines and websites associated with the program were launched.*ot
