Donetsk, Oct 2 – DAN.  Over 200 residents of Kiev-controlled part of Donetsk Region have received medical aid in DPR hospitals under the Donbass people reunification humanitarian program, DPR Health Ministry acting head Alexander Oprischenko said.

“Over 200 patients from Kiev-controlled territories received medical aid under the Donbass people reunification humanitarian program,” he said.

Oprischenko has extended congratulations to all the doctors in the world on the International Day of the doctor.

"Dear colleagues, I wish you to save others and to preserve your own health, I wish you respect, gratitude, appropriate working conditions, personal happiness," he said.

The International Day of the doctor is celebrated on the first Monday of October. It was established in 1971 following the World Health Organization initiative in order to promote the solidarity and doctors' activity all over the world.

On February 17 DPR and LPR Heads approved the humanitarian aid program aimed to assist people living in Kiev-controlled territories. The main objective is to provide financial aid and educational assistance to vulnerable social groups. On February 21 the program was officially presented to people, hotlines and websites associated with the program were launched.*ot
