Donetsk, Sep 11 – DAN. Over 160 residents of Kiev-controlled part of Donetsk Region have received medical aid in DPR hospitals under the Donbass people reunification humanitarian program, DPR Health Ministry acting head Alexander Oprischenko said.

"Overall, 161 patients from Kiev-controlled territories received medical aid under the Donbass people reunification humanitarian program," he said.

In course of the program, DPR doctors performed: 15 surgeries on hip replacement, 26 pacemaker installment surgeries, 49 birth assistances, 70 chemotherapies.

On February 17 DPR and LPR Heads approved the humanitarian aid program aimed to assist people living in Kiev-controlled territories. The main objective is to provide financial aid and educational assistance to vulnerable social groups. On February 21 the program was officially presented to people, hotlines and websites associated with the program were launched.*ot
