Donetsk, Apr 26 - DAN. The Donetsk People’s Republic has issued passports to 955,000 residents, the DPR Interior Ministry Migration Service told the Donetsk News Agency on Tuesday.
The Migration Service currently has dozens of thousand passport applications to consider, it said. Some 1.19 million such applications have been submitted since 2016.
The DPR began to issue passports in March 2016. The document is an essential prerequisite for fast track Russian citizenship.
Earlier reports on Tuesday said that the first 150 residents of liberated territories had applied for DPR passports. *jk
