Donetsk, Feb 13 – DAN. DPR authorities noted a calm Sunday night in the republic saying no shelling damage had been recorded.
“The night was calm, thank God,” Donetsk’s Petrovskiy district administration head Maksim Zhukovskiy told DAN.
Local authorities said the situation was also calm in DPR trouble areas, such as Gorlovka, Yasinovataya and Novoazovskiy district.
“Residential areas were practically not shelled at night,” Sakhanka village administration head Igor Podgorniy told DAN.
However, the situation on the contact line and in the outskirts of Donbass settlements abandoned by the population remains rather tense. Earlier, a DPR defence source said Ukrainian forces shelled eight DPR frontline areas with 122mm artillery, tank guns and heavy mortars on Sunday night. The enemy targeted western outskirts of Donetsk, outlying parts of Gorlovka, Yasinovataya, Dokuchayevsk and DPR south. *jk
